I'd been fawning over this system for months before it finally went on sale into my price range. I was amazed at the sound this thing can throw out. Every genre of music sounds great out of it and the design is superb

Incredible, Jaw Dropping, Bass-tastic, Deeply Rich sound - and its PROPERLY portable - not the 20 kilo sack-of-coal weight of the equivalent TDK. I looked at EVERY high-end portable out there and this and the TDK were the final shortlist - this won for its true portability, rich sound, and good looks (retro reggae). ALL of my friends were just sitting there and oggling the Riddim and commenting how the sound was better than their home audio systems - so for home or out and about it truly is an awesome unit - the 4-hour play time of the batteries is realistic - kit up with 12xD-cell high end rechargeable batteries and you're laughing ! Buy this, you will NOT be disappointed.

I purchased my Bag of Rhythm in a sale at a huge discount. It's purchase was a heart-over-mind decision but I haven't regretted my purchase one bit. It is everything other reviews have said about it.
I did not purchase it to play music, I purchased it to play audiobooks of which I have a large collection. I also have an old iPod Classic with video (Generation 5.5, circa 2006) which I had not used in quite some time. Now seemed to be a good time to get the 80GB iPod out of mothballs and I chose to use it with the Bag of Rhythm. It was an excellent choice.
I ripped 3 of my CD audiobook collection with iTunes and loaded about 27 hours into the iPod. No problem whatsoever, the sound quality was excellent.
I only have one criticism which may yet turn out to be my fault. I haven't quite got the hang of the controls. I thought turning OFF the Bag of Rhythm might also turn OFF my iPod and vice-versa, however, it doesn't quite work like that. If I turn OFF the iPod first, then the Bag of Rhythm, the iPod switches ON again. I have also encountered another issue in which my iPod states the the Bag of Rhythm is not an iPod compatible device, which of course is nonsense. Best bass of any of its rivals in my opinion.
Blows any DreBeats product out of the water.
Great clarity even at high volumes (and the volume does go very high)
Great prices if you shop around (got mine for £130)
High quality wood, aluminium and canvas all over.

Have to say, couldn't be happier with the dock, bass fills the room and hits where it should, treble and mids are clear as day.
Aesthetics are top notch as well, clearly a lot of thought gone into the design of this product and all of the House Of Marley stuff tbh.
And I love the ethics and attitude of the brand as a whole, cant go wrong.

My exceptionally demanding (in audio terms) daughter, who has DJ'd in the past, received this for a present at Christmas. She thinks it's utterly awesome, and will use it on her ongoing world travels, spreading the love wherever she goes. And by the way, some reviewers think it's "not rechargeable" - it is, if you buy 6 rechargeable D-cell batteries. Astonishing bass, crystal clear treble, robust, earth-friendly and way too cool.
