Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great company that makes quality products I had a first generation Bag of Rhythm that stopped working after many beach days of use. HoM could have easily done nothing as it was past the two year warranty. But because they're an amazing company that puts their customer first and stands behind their products they sent me a new Bag of Riddim 2 at no charge. I was amazed at the sound quality in this smaller, lighter unit. If you're looking for a quality BT sound system that rocks the beach, house party, park, etc. like no other product, definitely get this. And not only will you get a great boom box, but you'll be supporting a great company that is environmentally conscious that has the best customer service of any company around. Thumbs up for the product and the company that makes it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blutooth speaker Makes by bose (approx same size) sound tinny. I was very surprised by the sound quality this has. Higher volumes are like many others a little distorted, but the unit does well in adjusting to keep it clear. Mid to low level volumes are simply amazing. Full range deep lows, clear mids and crisp highs make this one a winner. Only cons I have is the voice promt. It is quite loud and tells you if it is pairing, unpairing, charging, max volume etc. There is no user control to turn it off or turn it down. (you wont want to pair if someone is still sleeping.....)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, Great Company I had issues with the first Bag of Rythem controls sound was great. The company sent me the new Bag of Rythem 2 at no expense to me. I was amazed with such a big clear sound from a small elegant package. The Rythem 2 sounds so much better then my Sonos speaker that it has now become my main speaker in my home. Plus it works great with Amazon Alexa.Love the speaker and customer service is great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound in a small package! I had problem with the first generation Bag of Rythem and Marley promptly sent me The new Bag of Rythem 2. I just got it today and was so impressed I could not wait to get home to write a reveiw. I was worried that the smaller size would reduce the sound quilty, and the peak volume, but it didn't. In fact I think it has better sound quality then the original. If you having any hesitation about buying one, don't worry you will not be disappointed! In fact why are you still, reading this reveiw you should already have one in your cart! LOL

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This speaker exceeded my expectations. The highs are bright and crisp and the bass literally rattles my office walls. I've never heard a portable bluetooth speaker sound so good, especially for the price. The battery life is very good and lasts a full 10 hours while I'm at work. Awesome unit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW !!! I originally bought the Bag Of Riddim BT less than 1 year ago and it just stopped working so I was able to return it and luckily they offered me the new Bag Of Riddim II a couple month ago and I gave it a shot and WOW!!! I kid you not and I don't know how they did it but the new Bag Of Riddim II is way more compact but it sounds way stronger, louder, Bassier if that's even a word, it's absolutely insane how amazing it sounds I wish I could show it through this review but take my word for it AMAZING!!! Thank You Miss Mary at The House Of Marley for sending me my Bag Of Riddim II I'm absolutely satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent sound and simple to use! I found the Bag of Riddim 2 very simple and intuitive to use, with simple controls for volume and pairing with Bluetooth devices. The sound quality and volume are perfect for entertaining guests, and the battery life is surprising for such a loud speaker. The USB charger port is perfect for charging your phone while out and about, and the 3.5mm input allows use with non-Bluetooth devices (in my case my desktop PC). One drawback is that the speaker emits a very slight hiss at the lowest volume setting, but this is a minor complaint with an otherwise excellent product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good speakers Been using these speakers as a communal speaker in my kitchen for the past few weeks. They are pretty good speakers though I have a some slight issues. Sound: Great sound, impressive bass. Bass is pronounced but not overpowering. Volume is pretty insane for the size of the speakers, they can be incredibly loud. My main problem with these speakers is I use them at home at the lower end of the volume scales. At low volumes while sitting close to the speaker there is a noticeable hissing when playing music and idling. This hissing isn't noticeable at medium to high volumes. One thing that I noticed is the sound quality of the voice used for notifications is really low quality and gives a false impression of the speakers when you first hear it. Design: I absolutely love the aesthetics of this speaker and the design is very stylish. It is elegant and sleek, nothing like most plastic speakers. Battery: Battery life is pretty good as is the charging functionality. Really nice that the charger comes with an interchangable plug for most major countries. Works well when plugged in constantly as well. Connectivity: Bluetooth pairing works with and the 3.5mm jack. Bluetooth can be spotty when multiple paired devices are within range. Build Quality: Speakers are really hefty without being heavy. I would feel comfortable carrying them around without fear of them breaking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Good Absolutely fantastic sound quality, great base and lively sparkly sound. When I got the speaker I thought that they would be great for trips to the beach and outside for BBQ’s, but it is far better than that and would use them daily instead of my default Bluetooth speaker. Sound Quality: 10/10 - It is everything that I hoped for and more. Build Quality: 7/10 - The speaker unit is excellent quality, there are no faults here. The carry bag is poorly built, and I have a fear that it will damage the material on the speaker over time. It is hard to operate the buttons with the carry bag attached. I would have also liked to have seen the device connections (AUX and USB) at the back and not in the front, it spoils the great looks. Overall: 8/10 - The battery life is good, but you would not take this away camping for the weekend, which is a pity. I found the voice notifications annoying and unnecessary. Maybe a standard usb/usb-c charging port would have been nice, so that you can charge it on the go. Having said that, if you are in the market for a high-quality Bluetooth speaker I would recommend that you check this one out. Disclaimer: I did receive this product for free on the understanding that I will give my honest feedback.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Class Only thing holding this back is a way to tell how much battery this has left and the annoying noise it's makes when it reaches full volume. We played football in a field yesterday and you could hear it over the entire pitch and sounds so good

Rated 4 out of 5 by from bass tuning Great speaker, loud, lots of bass, decent mids and crazy lows for the size. There is a noticeable flutter with deep bass from the ports, nothing loose inside or the speaker probably the way its tuned to get this low end output.....gets annoying on some tracks. Overall it sounds great. Wish you could connect multiple units though something that should have been included by now like most brands.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looking product - but why does it scream at me? I have had a problem with my Bag of Riddim 2 for a year now. It has the extremely annoying feature of shouting at me anytime it is powering on, pairing or powering off. I have scoured your web site and the web to find the instruction booklet (hoping to somehow remove this feature) but it isn't listed in the insctruction boklets drop lis (I have the EM-JA0014). I decided then that I would write the company to get help, but the Contact page has nothing at all. If anyone has a better experience with customer support from House of Marley, please share. As for me, I've never seen a company with so little support.

    Q & A

After fully charging my bag of ridim 2 i can only play roughly 9min on full volume before it warns me it battery is low and it needs charging. It plays on full volume for another 20min before its dead. Is this normal???

    Asked by: Mikelarry
No, mine will play for hours on full volume and day plus at medium to low output. You might have a battery that is not getting fully charged or an excessive draw ..

I have purchased a house of marley turntable and looking for house of marley compatible speakers. Is there any way to connect this speaker to my record player ? Thanks

    Asked by: Munch
Dear Munch, Yes you can connect to the speakers using an RCA to AUX cable and connect that to the front of the speaker. Alternatively there are Bluetooth transmitters/receivers available for purchase, from Amazon etc., which you can connect to the turntable and then transmit over Bluetooth to the speaker for a wireless connection.
