Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unhappy I have been purchasing Marley headphones for at least 5 years now. I started with the Smile Jamaica headphones then bought my mini speaker then bought Positive Vibrations. After 11 months the sound wasn’t playing on the headphones so I upgraded to the Black Positive Vibrations 2. I love the sound quality of the Marley Headphones but i am not happy with how unaccommodating it is with sizing and how non long lasting the positive Vibrations 2 are. After a couple months of use my headphones started to fall apart at the hinges (picture 1). I bought a new pair of the same model and in an even shorter time the exact same thing happened (picture 2) I tried using a lil crazy glue but still it continued to fall apart. For an item that cost $99 before taxes i expect it to last longer then it has. I am very disappointed because i love these headphones. They are very stylish and i light but i can not afford to be replacing headphones every 6 months. I would love to stay loyal to this company but am now considering buying from another brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not holding charge after 3 months Had the positive vibration 2 headphones for 3 months, had no problems at all. The sound was great & the charge held for long. But last night they wouldn’t charge. I changed cable, plug, socket but nothing would work. Really disappointed. I don’t have the receipt as they were a gift. I’ve had to say I bought these in store as there’s no option for Gift.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best buy Pros: Great packaging. Classic design. Good clear sound. Wireless and wired connection. 2 Years limited warranty. Cons: Wired 3.5 audio connection very cheap crackles out of the box! (but not worth spending $12 on mail just for $5 wire, at least not yet) Distance of wireless about 10-15m if there is a wall not even 5m. On ear design means they press on your ears meas eventually become quite painful to wear. Charging micro-usb cable quite short. Conclusion: This was my first House of Marley item I purchased and maybe the last. There are better products out there for similar price.

Seams was ripped off after 5 months of use, exposing the foam inside the cushion, but that didn't affect the sound quality so far. Cushion is irreplaceable which makes this product less appealing for heavy users like us, what a shame! Product should come with a pouch or container to prolong the lifespan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Very Solid Pair Of Headphones In January, I realized that my $10 pair of bluetooth earbuds were dying out. I began looking for a budget pair of headphones, and I stumbled upon the Positive Vibration 2, and I'm so happy that I did. They're great headphones for the price, their build quality is fantastic, and the sound is superb. Build Quality I walk home from school every day, and I'm always wearing these headphones. I've dropped them on the street twice, and both times they were just scratched. They're very tough headphones, which I really like, since I'm pretty abusive to all the headphones I own. They've survived 5 months being knocked around in my backpack at school and being dropped on the floor. Battery life is amazing, and I can wear these things for two or three days without needing to charge them. The only complaint I have about the build quality is that the finish on the ear cups is easily rubbed off when folded. I'll give the build quality 5 out of 5 stars. Comfort For an on-the-ear pair of headphones, the Positive Vibrations are pretty comfortable. The padding on the ear cups are squishy and comfortable, and the headband is lightweight and soft. I had a break-in time of about a month, where they were so tight that I couldn't wear them for more than an hour or two before my head started to hurt, but now I can wear them for about 6 hours before needing to take a break. The adjustments are easy to make and very smooth. I'll give comfort 4 out of 5 stars. The break-in period is responsible for the missing star. Sound I was blown away by the sound of these headphones. The highs, mids, and vocals are crisp and clear. The bass is punchy and doesn't distort the rest of the music, which I really like. These headphones definitely focus more on the lower end of music, and as a bass lover, I really like that. The audio gets 5 out of 5 stars. Problems I've Had After about 6 months, I've noticed some issues with these headphones. First of all, the folding mechanism isn't the smartest, since the metal adjuster pieces stick out to the side and the ear cups rub against each other. Second, connection can be spotty at times, but that's just a recent occurrence. Thirdly, the charging port somehow got messed up, and the cord has to be held at an angle for the headphones to charge. I suspect that the constant abuse these headphones have endured caused that. Overall Opinion These are a great pair of headphones. They're tough, reliable, and they sound amazing. I love them, and I would 100% recommend them to a friend. I can tell that this pair is going to last for a long, long time. Good job, House of Marley :)

The price of these headphones and functionality suited my needs. Connection by bluetooth is very easy and controls also. Very comfortable to wear and extremely stylish, sound quality is excellent. Seem to have a very long battery life, although the only downside would be a battery power indicator, but - as mentioned earlier - a cable connection is available. Well made and good value for money. Recommended.

Do the positive vibration 2 power down when not in use?

Dear Double Dave, The Positive Vibration 2 wireless headphones will power down when they have no Bluetooth connection. However as they can be used to make and receive calls and are connected by Bluetooth they will not automatically shut off and should be powered down manually. My positive vibration 2 do not take charge. Earlier it used to show red light while charging and after 2 hours it would stop! But now in few seconds the red light get off but when I turn it on. It says not charged.BT don’t connect.

I am definitely not an expert, but I have these exact headphones and they have been perfect and functional for over a year now. Maybe you could try using a different charger than the one you were sent. I use an Android charger and charge my headphones while they are powered off. Also, turning the headphones off after use keeps the battery alive so much longer. I hope this is helpful and that you are able to resolve the issue :)

No, it doesn't come with a case, earlier models came with a bag only but other aftermarket travel cases are available for $8-$20 . Specs for Positive Vibration 2 unfolded are 3"H x 6"W x 7"D Hope my info helps, have a good day.

When the headphones are fully charged the light will simply switch off. As long as they do turn on afterwards, there is no fault with the unit.

Dear August, Yes the positive vibration 2 wireless comes with a cable as well that you can use to plug directly into your iPod. There are also Bluetooth transmitters that you can purchase, from Amazon etc, which will turn the aux output of your iPod into a Bluetooth signal and then you can enjoy your headphones cable free. Hi. I have these headphones and the skip song feature is not working. When I try to play the next song it just increases the volume and only sometimes Goes back a song with the lower volume / back button but it is very temperamental. Many thanks

Your phone will only be able to see the headphones when they're initially turned on - if you turn them on and they pair with you pc you'll need to disable BT on your PC and turn off / on the headphones. Hope this helps!

Where is the microphone on this thing? I can't see it anywhere, and I can't get it to work. I used a testing application, which determined nothing was registering. I tried speaking all around the headset, and nothing came up.

Thank you for your question. the microphone is not on the headphones themselves, but on the detachable aux cable that they come with. You cannot use the microphone if the headphones are connected with Bluetooth.

I have charging problems. It doesn't have consistent power recharging after a few minutes after it is plugged, it stops charging the red light turns off.

I need more info, after the charging red light goes out; how long does the Bluetooth feature function? For example, my Positive Vibration 2 will run well over 7hrs on a single charge which I use everyday for running, gym, movies etc.
